At 5 am, Rebecca woke me to ask whether she had enough money saved to buy her American Girl doll. She must have dreamed about it, because this actually hasn't been a recent conversation. Around 6 am, I had her go get her money so we could count it. She had saved almost enough, so she had to clean her room and playroom to earn the last few dollars she needed. On the way, we stopped to eat breakfast and saw her teacher there. Rebecca was so happy to see Mrs. Croyt!
Finally, we arrived at American Girl Place. Rebecca counted out the money to pay for her doll herself.
