Paris: Night 2

After our day at Versailles, we were all exhausted! We made it back to the apartment around 4:00 p.m., and we promptly all crashed. We had a niiiiiiice long nap. Since it wasn't getting dark in Paris until 8:30 p.m., there was still daylight by the time we woke up and drug ourselves back out of the apartment to hit the town. We decided to check out the Latin Quarter for that evening's dinner.

Like pros, we took the Metro from our very own Saint Paul station to the Chatelet stop, changed trains, and got off at Cite. Then there we were on the Ile de la Cite! We walked less than a block, and there she was....

Notre Dame....stunning.

We gawked for awhile, but then we decided to move on since we'd be coming back to the cathedral the next day. We strolled along the river, taking in the sunset.

Finally, we gave in and decided we had to find a place for dinner. We all loved the Latin Quarter scene! It was hard to make a decision, because there were just endless cafes, brasseries, restaurants, and just cool hangouts.

Eventually, we decided on an Italian restaurant. Rebecca enjoyed some delicious pizza.

Afterward, we sauntered around in the Latin Quarter for a bit before stopping to find a place to have some dessert! Eventually, we ended up walking back to Notre Dame.

The cathedral is captivating at any time, but at night, she's got an even more amazing allure.
