I passed!

I did indeed pass the EPPP!  Thanks be to God!

It was a huge relief to get the news, and I was able to celebrate with lunch out with my favorite date.  (Ramy and I actually work just about half a mile from each other - literally, right down the street.  We have had the opportunity to have lunch together only about three or four times since I started working at Casa Colina.  I usually eat lunch at my desk!).

I got the word from the California Board of Psychology that all of my hours have been accepted, so now I'm just waiting to get the code to take the CPSE.  What's the holdup?  Well, after they received my check to take said CPSE, apparently the check has to travel around the state by carrier pigeon and receive blessings from seventeen left-handed Trappist monks before it posts to my account.  Not really, but it apparently takes a couple of weeks for the state of California to put the money in the right place and link it to my name.  This also explains a lot about why California is in the shape that it is.  I have learned from this lesson, however, that I will not make this mistake again.  After I pass the CPSE, I then have to send them some more money to get my initial license.  However, I am going to go ahead and send them my check now so that while I'm in the process of waiting for the CPSE and taking it, they can process my payment.  So now I need to study a bit for the CPSE.  It's not nearly as "big" a test as the EPPP, but it is a little less predictable because they change it every 6 months.  The stakes are also higher, because if you fail it, you can't take it again for 6 months.  With any luck, I'll be able to take the exam the first week of October.
