Rebecca and I made it safely to Tennessee last Wednesday. We had a bit of a harrowing journey, but all is well that ends well (short story: 2 hours late leaving LAX with oversold flights to follow and threats of freezing rain in Nashville, frantic running through DFW to make connecting flight, boarding as they closed the doors behind us). By some miracle, our luggage even made it on board! Breakfast at the Cracker Barrel soothed the memories of the evening. Since that time, we've been enjoying getting ready for Christmas. We've been shopping, going out to eat, and attending special events. We sure miss Daddy though, and we can't wait for him to get here so Christmas can really get underway!
