Rebecca and I spent a long weekend in Tennessee last Thursday through this Monday. We greatly enjoyed our time with my mom, Aunt Margaret, the Girl Posse, Molly, and Baby Jack. Jack and Rebecca got to meet, and Will gave Rebecca one of her now-favorite toys, so Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her boyfriends! We shopped, ate, went to a craft show, and generally enjoyed fall in Tennessee. We returned home to find much of Southern California ablaze! Thankfully, our home is not in any real danger, but the air quality, ash falling from the sky, the acrid smell, and the general bizarreness of the fact that there are 17 major fires in a 100 mile radius from us has been chaotic.
Rebecca has had a good couple of days at daycare. Cutting those bottom two teeth seems to have been a very good thing, but they still bug her a lot. We are working with her to be more satisfied even if we are not right there with her, but that's a slow process. She is eating more solids at each meal now (a whole avocado and a whole banana for dinner last night) and LOVES her yogurt. Her current favorite things are pumpkin, blueberries, yogurt, and still, pears and butternut squash. She crawls lightning fast, pulls herself up on everything, lets go briefly, and says "dadadadada" constantly and particularly in response for my requests for her to say "mama" (she does, however, say "uh-ma" when she is particularly desperate for me).
