What a week!

It has been a crazy, crazy week. Rebecca and I returned from Tennessee on Monday evening. Rebecca did, surprisingly, fine in daycare on Tuesday. Of course, this was when the fires were raging all around us. Wednesday, she did fine in daycare, although I had to deal with a completely crazy client and catch my lab up on the Rorschach Structural Summary, which we were supposed to do in class on Tuesday night but was cancelled because of fire. Thursday was when it all fell apart! Still dealing with the crazy client, and my students being worried about their grades and the confusing nature of the Rorschach, but then I find out that Arlene called Ramy and told him that Rebecca was crying hysterically. So he came home early to get her. Then I had to go deal with an even crazier client most of the evening.

It has become clear to us that Rebecca is not thriving in daycare. For whatever reason, she needs one-on-one care. So we are going to have to get her a nanny. We broke the news to Arlene, who immediately agreed with us, which confirms my fears that she was going to break up with us at any moment. But she did agree to hang in there with us until we find someone else. So now the search begins for a nanny. We are praying that God will send the perfect person for Rebecca and us.

Today, I have to run out to Loma Linda to leave something so I don't have to go early Monday morning. Then I'm getting a flu shot. Ramy is installing Rebecca's big girl carseat in my car, which means we are officially done with the infant carseat. Tonight, we are going to a Halloween party in Santa Monica. Rebecca will be the one one of us dressing up. She is a butterfly. Ramy and I are going as boring adults. On a side note, we rented the movie Knocked Up last night and thought it was hilarious. Not as funny as 40 Year Old Virgin though.
