A few weeks ago, Rebecca and I had the good fortune to be able to meet up with my friend Raquel and her daughter Eliana. Our friend Ana was supposed to be there with her son Simon, but unfortunately, Simon got sick the morning of the playdate and they couldn't make it. Hopefully we will be able to schedule another playdate sometime soon.
Rebecca had a lot of fun with Ellie, and they played very well together. Because it was so hot, Raquel had brought Eliana's playhouse inside the living room for them to play. Rebecca did a good job of showing Ellie how to do things without being too bossy and was even very understanding when Eliana didn't want to share (maybe she understood, because she often doesn't want to share. Neither do I.). The girls were much more interested in playing than in eating lunch, but Raquel and I had no such qualms. Raquel made us a delicious pasta salad with chicken and feta and spinach. I also got the dish on everything that's been going on up Upland Counseling Center since I left in December. It was a fun day!
