We've had a very nice weekend, as usual. Yesterday afternoon, Ramy and Rebecca were clad in their UCLA garb in support of their team. It takes a true fan to continue publicly supporting your team when they have absolutely no chance of winning. Rebecca has learned something very valuable from her father. She's learned to grunt approvingly when good plays are made! I mostly let them do their thing and did my religion final. We went to the Knights of Columbus Christmas party last night.

It was Rebecca's first time to see Santa Claus up close and personal. I had little expectation that she would get anywhere near him, much less sit in his lap! She had been enjoying the karaoke Christmas music (ahhh, she truly is Filipino).
Then when Santa came in, she was excited with the other little kids, like she knew what he was about. With me nearby, she went over and petted his arm and then, after going away for a bit and watching other kids sit in his lap, she went over to him and sat in his lap. That lasted for a bit and then she wanted us to take her back. But she kept looking at him, waving at him, smiling at him. When Santa left, she waved goodbye to him like he was an old friend. Santa also passed out presents, and Rebecca enjoyed hers very much.

After we left the party, we walked around at the Shoppes at Chino Hills for a bit. This afternoon, we had lunch with our friend Vincent, and now Ramy and Rebecca have gone to visit his mom.
My interview with UC-Irvine is tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.! I'll take all prayers and positive thoughts anyone wants to send! I'm also expecting that this week, I will be hearing from a lot more internship sites. Hopefully I'll get more offers for interviews than rejections!
I have several people I will be thinking of and praying for this week. My friend Tim (who is the minister of my mom's church) had surgery last Thursday to remove part of his thyroid after a cancer diagnosis. He'll find out the pathology results and whether he'll need treatment this week. My second mother Joy's daughter Lisa (got that?) is having cancer surgery tomorrow morning. They'll also be getting pathology results back that will be important to her future. A little boy from my hometown who has a malignant brain tumor gets the first imaging done since his chemo/radiation treatment to see how his cancer has responded. All of these people would appreciate more prayers!
