I interviewed with the University of California, Irvine on Monday afternoon. I think it went pretty well, but because it was a phone interview, it is harder to tell. They have a good internship program at their student counseling center. They didn't really throw me any curveballs in their questions, but without seeing nonverbal feedback, you don't get much of an idea about how what you're saying is being received. Tuesday I had one client to see at Casa Colina, and Wednesday was the same. Thursday, I turned in my neuropsych assessment final, which completed my work for classes. Actually, I think it completed all of the classes that I have to take. I have to get confirmation on that and double check with my checklist, but I might actually be done taking classes. That's kind of amazing...after only 25 years of school!
Then I came home, and Julie and Baby Adelaide came over to meet us. We had lunch at Panera Bread and walked around and shopped a bit at the Shoppes at Chino Hills. Julie and I are actually interviewing together at Kaiser Permanente in January. Why didn't I take pictures of Rebecca and Addie? Why didn't I have Nanny Rebecca take a pic of me, Julie, and the girls together? This is the only pic I have of Rebecca and Addie, and it is a month or so old:
After Rebecca's round of antibiotics, she developed a yeast rash. Luckily I had some Nystatin from her last bout with it, so I started treating it, but unfortunately it got worse. A paste of Nystatin and Triple Care did nothing for it, and it was worse this morning, so I made an appointment with the pediatrician. Ramy took her to the doctor, and we got a different prescription cream. So hopefully that will clear it up. Poor baby!
Today I had my interview at Patton State Hospital. I got totally panicked about it yesterday, but I didn't feel as nervous today. I think it went well. I think I responded to their assessment case with at least some semblance of knowing what I was talking about, and I don't think I said anything that would make them wonder how I ever got into grad school.
So I'm done with school and I have a break from interviews for awhile. We went to dinner tonight and looked for aso,e shoes for Ramy. It's nice to not have something to stress over (except the fact that I haven't finished Christmas shopping and haven't sent out my Christmas cards). Tomorrow morning is Breakfast With Santa and tomorrow night is a holiday party that our friend Paul's law firm throws.
