Wow is it hot here in the Inland Empire! It was in the mid-90s today, so we decided it had to be the inaugural day at the pool for the year. Rebecca was definitely on board with that idea. Despite the fact that it was scorching hot outside, the water in the pool felt a little more like there could be icebergs floating in it. Rebecca is not one to be dissuaded by something like that, and even though her teeth were chattering, she insisted that she was "fine" and was having a great time in the pool and did not want to get out of the arctic waters. Surprisingly, she didn't put up too much of a fight when we got her out, and she was happy to be wrapped in her Dora towel. When we got back in the house, she wanted a blanket and then settled down on the couch to watch television. Within a few minutes, our little mermaid was snoozing. It was a great nap!
