Playhouse Disney Live

On Friday evening, Grammy, Rebecca, and I went to Huntsville to take in the wonderous toddler-joy that is Playhouse Disney Live.

For those of you who don't spend too much time with the under-5 set, Playhouse Disney is a set of shows on the Disney Channel that are geared toward preschoolers. It includes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. Pretty simple messages in pretty low-stimulation cartooning. It's like crack for almost every toddler.

Grammy even made Rebecca a special shirt to wear to the event:

So we went to see the touring stage version. For the first part of the show, Rebecca was a bit awe-struck (I suppose it's pretty weird thing for the characters you watch in your pajamas every morning while you're eating you oatmeal to suddenly be dancing all around you). She sat and observed in amazement. The second half of the show, she was clapping and dancing.

We saw The Little Einsteins and Rocket:

Handy Manny and the Tools:

Mickey Mouse and all his Clubhouse Friends:

and My Friends Tigger and Pooh (although Mommy didn't take a picture of them). Rebecca thought it was a rocking good show!

Of course, no show is complete without souvenirs! Rebecca brought home a stuff Mickey Mouse and a giant drink cup, and she consumed full strength lemonade (I always water down anything she drinks with sugar in it like fruit juice or lemonade to the point that it is a splash of flavor and mostly water, so getting the real deal was probably a jolt), popcorn, and M&Ms while watching the show. What a night!
