Real Estate Update

We are now 8 days into escrow on the sale of our house!  We got past the price negotiations, signing the contract, the disclosures, the physical inspection, and got the report for the physical inspection which had no negative findings.  It seems like it really is going to go!  I've been scared of something happening and didn't want to report the news until we got past those issues.  We're scheduled to close by June 16, though the exact date hasn't been determined.

The house with which I had fallen in love when we were in escrow before with the crazy lady got snapped up just after we knew things weren't going through with the sale the first time.  As it turns out, it fell out of escrow the same weekend as we got the offer for our house.  It's like it was just waiting on us!  Since the house was already done and they don't want any houses sitting around when they are trying to go into their next building phase, they were willing to negotiate on both price and options, and they took our offer!  It's already finished, with the exception of the flooring, which we'll be picking out, and the landscaping of the backyard, which was an option we asked for.  This is it!  We're scheduled to close on this house concurrently with the sale of our house. We're just praying it all goes through as scheduled.
